A partner and shareholder in Offshore's Saltillo operation, is one of Mexico's most distinguished executives. Covarrubias heads Saltillo's chamber of industry and is the president and owner of Walmi Transformer.

The 550-employee company manufactures air, oil and other specialty filters, and recently won one of the Mexican manufacturing community;s highest honors. In 1997, Walmi won Mexico;s National Export Prize in the mid-size business category for its market performance in the U.S. and Canada. In addition, Walmi recently achieved QS9000 certification, the first filter manufacturing company in North America to do so.
