Deborah Riner Deborah Riner is currently the Chief Economist at the U.S. – Mexico Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City. She has held this position since 1993. Her additional professional experience in Mexico includes having served as a vice president of the Mexico office the Bankers Trust Company of New York, and as banking associate in the Mexico City office of the Continental Illinois Bank. Debby holds doctoral degree from Princeton University, and earned both her M.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of Delaware. She has spent time as a Fellow with the Brookings Institution, the Princeton Committee on Latin American Studies, the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London and at the Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile. Ms. Riner is a member of the Business Indicator Committee with the Mexican Institute of Executive Finance, a technical counselor at Mexico’s Center of Private Sector Economic Studies, and has served on the Board of Directors of Pro-Mujer Mexico, a non-profit micro-lending institution.
